What is an EICR?

An EICR is an electrical installation condition report that is recommended every 5 years. Regular testing means that problems can be spotted earlier and savings made. But it’s not just the age of your electrical systems that count, circuits and electrical accessories can also become damaged over time and should be checked for potential problems.

It is the law for an EICR to be carried out every 5 years on a privately rented property from 1st July 2020 on new tenanted properties, and for all privately rented properties from 1st April 2021. They MUST be carried out by someone qualified to do so.

Following our inspection, we will issue a full breakdown report of your electrical installation.

This will include:

  • An EICR certificate, including observations on the install.
  • A free fixed price quote to rectify any inspections that have failed the EICR
  • Full legal compliance, whether it is for selling or renting your property, or just peace of mind for your home.
